Confidentiality is crucial to the therapeutic process. I believe that talking to me online is as safe as talking to a therapist in an office. We therapists consider it our duty to protect the confidentiality and privacy of our clients, whether we work with clients through email, by telephone, via video conferencing or in a face-to-face setting.

But there are steps that can be taken to improve confidentiality and privacy at your end. When using your computer or other devices, make sure only YOU have access to your email.

The data storage is regulated by the May 2018 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

In addition, only give your personal details to trustworthy people and institutions.

Furthermore, you will have to make all appropriate online payments using secured websites, to protect your privacy and prevent any unauthorised access to your information.
